Sheep Lake Suffolk
Farm and Family
We are located 1 hour north of Edmonton in the Bridge Lakes area east of Clyde. We purchased our farm 11 years ago with the idea of producing lamb for a developing market in Alberta. Our farm is in a wildlife rich area which is well suited to our family, as we enjoy being outdoors taking in the beautiful scenery, animals, & birds that surround us.
15 years ago we started with 10 ewes and eventually grew to a flock of 170 commercial ewes. Having tried different breeds, we eventually started using Suffolk rams in our commercial flock, liking the growth and sales results of the lambs produced. We then decided to purchase a few purebred Suffolk ewes from Bill Matejka and Rusty Bucket Farm. A couple of years later we bought a few more from Parker Stock Farm and with a combination of the three flocks, we had a strong foundation of females. At this point we decided to produce purebred Suffolk breeding stock and have not looked back since!
Breeding for soundness, growth, eye appeal, docility, practicality, and profitability.
